Went to a football game = not a lot of work done!

We snuck out this weekend to attend a Ga Tech game... we lost we shouldnt have wasted our time... When we got back we did the following!

VENT HOOD: (by law our loan required we installed this heavy huge space taking thing) Todd did a fabulous job!

BATHROOM: This was a nightmare! There was 50 yr old wall paper on the walls! not 1 but 2 layers!!! It is hard to see but, it is shiny and textured and makes you dizzy! I am still not able to use the bathroom! but we are closer and now have paint up, which I haven't photographed yet! The tile is next, no more green tile!

and the reno goes on and on and on...

Yes the reno continues to this very day! We go home everyday to try and complete yet another project... this is our most recently completed projects! We are trying to move rather fast; we want this done!

Dear House... I am breaking up with you

Wow... I have been busy! We have accomplished so much in the past few weeks! We closed on our dream home and the next day began renovations! Let me update with what we have done thus far! and then after this my house and I are separating for an unknown amount of time... we need our space to regain the love we once had; prior to the renovations.

Our first project was our incredibly rotted laundry room! I made this top priority because well, a girl without clean laundry is a girl no one wants to be around :o)

Our next project was another biggy... We had to replace a nasty back door that wouldn't open! Todd and his cousin did a FABULOUS job! I love my new doors!

Another project we tackled is less obvious to most... and I forgot to get before photos!!! I ripped the nasty blue carpet off of my BEAUTIFUL original hardwoods!

And this is what my kitchen looks like right now as we speak!!! This is my current project!

But Todd is fabulous and hung my chandelier for me ... I LOVE it in there!!!

First Step to a New Life; a Home

     On August 24th we officially close on our home and become First Time HOME BUYERS! This journey we are stepping into is bound to be a difficult one. The home is pushing 60 yrs of age and is in dire need of some repairs! We decide we were the couple to do it and so 8/24 we will start doing it! I will ensure that I chronicle this journey every step of the way.

     I will post new stories of our daunting challenges and photos of the labor we will put in! We are doing almost 90% of this remodel ALONE which while scary is bound to be interesting! Below you can find our "befores" and keep your eyes peeled for the soon to come "afters"!

This is our first home!

This is our first bathroom! (and the only one we will have while remodeling the master suite yikes)
